The Project
About Australia is a boutique travel agency specializing in custom trips to Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. Originally founded by two Aussies with over 20 years of experience, the company is known for its personalized service, insider knowledge, and deep connection to the destinations they sell. But their previous website didn’t reflect any of that.
The site felt generic and outdated—more like a placeholder than a sales tool. It didn’t showcase the personality of the brand, the expertise behind it, or the incredible experiences they design. For a business built on custom itineraries and high-touch service, the website wasn’t doing its job. It lacked visual impact, clear navigation, and the structure needed to guide travelers through a complex decision-making process.
About Australia needed a tourism website that could match the energy of the brand, communicate the value of working with specialists, and make it easier for travelers to explore destinations, trip styles, and sample itineraries without feeling overwhelmed.
The Solution
We redesigned and developed a conversion-focused tourism website that brings the About Australia brand to life—fun, knowledgeable, and built around what travelers actually need when planning a bucket-list trip.
The new site opens with bold visuals and a clear value proposition: custom Australia vacations designed by people who know the region intimately. The tone is warm and approachable, with copy that reflects the founders’ Australian roots and the “no worries, mate” energy that sets the brand apart.
One of the biggest challenges was site navigability. With hundreds of potential itineraries across multiple countries and trip styles, travelers needed an intuitive way to explore without getting lost. We built an interactive navigation system that lets visitors browse by destination, experience, or trip style—each with engaging imagery that makes exploration feel effortless. Whether someone’s interested in the Great Barrier Reef, a wine country escape, or a family-friendly adventure, they can find relevant itineraries in just a few clicks.
Each itinerary page is custom-designed to be visually engaging, easy to scan, and built to convert. We focused on clear layouts that easily explain what makes each trip special—without overwhelming the reader.
